EMDR, or Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, is one of the most well-researched and effective treatments available for trauma and PTSD. Unlike traditional talk therapy, EMDR works by helping your brain reprocess distressing memories so they lose their overwhelming emotional charge. Many of my clients find that EMDR helps them make meaningful progress on experiences that felt too painful or stuck to approach through words alone. I love to combine EMDR with ACT and an eclectic, relational, and human-centered approach, because it allows us to work with the whole of your experience: mind, body, and soul.

Honestly, if something brought you to this page, that's already worth paying attention to. You don't need to be in crisis to benefit from support, nor do you need to know exactly what you want out of therapy just yet. If you've been feeling stuck, lost, or overwhelmed, therapy can be a really meaningful place to explore that without any judgement. Sometimes, just having a space that’s fully for you is a great first step.
